We think this 2-3 year old, 50 pound hound mix is pretty perfect. Petey is well mannered, cuddly, and fairly quiet. He gets along well with other dogs, and is currently living with varying sizes of dogs in his foster home. We hear he seems to ignore cats and was good with children that he has met so far. Petey does sometimes get overwhelmed a bit with new experiences and acts like he wants to run and hide. He's getting better every day. He adapts quickly to change and is very good with people who understand he's a bit shy at first. He's not a fan of thunder and storms, but as long as he is inside during nature's tantrums then life is good. We feel a fenced yard is always best for hounds so their nose does not get them in trouble. Petey is house trained and crate trained.. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Petey was Lyme positive, but taking some antibiotics for this. Petey's adoption fee is $150.
