About Charlie

Charlie is a senior (9/10 year old) Chihuahua- Shiba Inu mix. We adopted him 8 years ago from our local Humane League. He is such a sweet, loyal and cuddly dog. A truly wonderful companion animal, who loves nothing more than laying next to you on the couch, or better yet in your lap. We love him so much and wish more than anything that we could keep him. We have a baby and he has growled, shown his teeth and barked at her since she was a few months old and started to become mobile. Before having our baby, we didn't have any significant issues with Charlie. He was never a big fan of cats or of dogs he didn't know. He gets along great with our other dog, who is a submissive female Puggle, but barks at dogs when on walks and in our yard. He would do best in a home where he is the only pet and there are not young children. Prior to adopting Charlie he suffered some kind of trauma as he was found by ORCA and had to have an eye removed due to an injury. He doesn't let that stop him though, he doesn't notice his handicap and it's easy to forget he's even missing an eye. Please find it in your heart to give this sweet boy a chance!
