About Buddy

Buddy is a fluffy, handsome and loyal 10-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog/ English Shepherd mix and a heartthrob if there ever was one. He has soft and cuddly fur- just begging to be snuggled. Buddy was cared for in a loving home and was surrendered when his elderly owner who could no longer take care of him. Buddy is a 70 lb lovebug- he is so gentle when leaning up against people, and happy to make new friends everywhere he goes. It's clear that this senior pup still has plenty of love to give. His foster mom says all he wants is to be by your side; he truly wants to be your buddy and he lives on love. This sweet gentleman also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and loves to ride in the car. Buddy is a spectacular guy overall who knows he will soon find the perfect forever home. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy, and our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you.
