About Koa

Koa 6 Years Old Fawn Male House/crate trained Working on basic obedience Walks well on leash Springfield, OR Hi, I'm Koa, aka 'Tiny Dancer' because when I wake up, I do a special extra wiggle dance for the whole family!! I'm a rough and tumble boy when I play, but settle down pretty quickly in the house. I would probably do best with a big dog that likes to play hard. No cats or small animals, I like to chase more than they would like. I really love my food and I'm working on my manners, learning to sit and wait until I'm told to eat. Foster mom says I'm doing great! I would love a home with people who will walk me a lot, take me on runs and hikes. I do really well on a leash, but I need help redirecting if I see cats. I'm not really sure about toys, I haven't found any yet that interest me. Belly scratches for days please! I will lay on my back and let you rub scratch rub for a long time! Don't forget my neck and muzzle, I love it!! From foster mom: Koa is such a love bug! Koa only gets on the furniture if invited, but is happy to sit by your feet and have you scratch his head. If he were human, he would be a football player for sure. I'm working on helping him play a more gentle game. There are no children in my house, but he would probably do better with older kids. Koa needs to be walked daily and he has the energy for it! He is pretty irresistible and that makes you want to hug him, but please respect his space. He doesn't like it if you bring your whole body over him, he prefers just a side hug. Koa is a Cali boy and is dealing with some allergies right now, Benadryl seems to help.
