About Stella

Stella is a happy go lucky, 2yo, 75lb Dane/lab mix girl who has been waiting on her forever home for almost a year. She adores all people, but isn't clingy like many other peopley dogs. She is perfectly content to be sitting next to you on the couch chewing a bone or squeaking a toy. Every interaction she has with a person is like winning the lottery to her. She is always happy to see everyone, even if she's never met them. Stella is not always fond of other dogs. She's a diva, and she's not afraid to let other dogs know. She is also not a fan off cats. Stella wants so bad to be part of the family and cries for attention from us every day. She spends much of her time confined to a crate or kennel due to the fact that she doesn't get along with other dogs. Stella was adopted out in December to a person who we believe mistreated her. They admitted to tying Stella to a doorknob for extended periods of time. Stella also is now afraid of people carrying long objects like brooms or shovels and is afraid of car rides, both of which were not an issue before her adoption. She used to LOVE to ride in the car and couldn't wait to jump in. Now she cowers and has to be lifted into the car. She also lost a significant amount of weight during the month she was with her adopter. We worked like hell to get Stella back, and with the help of many great friends, we got her safely back to Tennessee in January. She's now in foster care waiting patiently for her forever home. Stella is currently in Nashville, TN being fostered for Pawp Culture Dog Rescue, but transport can be arranged for the right adopter
