Hi, my name is DUNLAP - ID#A4237903. I am a neutered male, black and white American Bulldog. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Apr 08, 2019. Have you seen Dunlap play-pounce on a tennis ball? No? Well, you're missing out. This handsome big boy is a puppy at heart when the toys come out. Despite going a little 'puppy' for the ball, Dunlap has a moderate energy overall. He isn't crazy hyper by any means. In fact, this guy walks great on a leash, and already knows 'sit' and 'shake'. Smart - AND playful: what a great combo. Dunlap is friendly without being pushy. He's cool doing something independent, but also enjoys attention and getting petted. He is a little head shy at first, so he may do best with older children rather than toddlers. If you already have a dog, please bring it in for a meet and greet before taking Dunlap home. This sweet boy has been at the shelter almost 3 months, and it's amazing he hasn't begun to deteriorate in his kennel. This happens to most all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people.
