About Ricky

Hi, my name is Ricky and I am an ornery, 9 pound, senior, long haired chihuahua with maybe Italian greyhound. I am bonded with Nicky who may be my sister, but whatever, we MUST be adopted together! We were strays at the Shelter together and love each other very much. I am bigger and a bit scraggly looking with wispy fur. I have had a recent full blood panel done and everything came back fine, so I am taking a daily omega 3 fatty acid supplement (that will go with me to my forever home) to help my skin and coat but it may take 3-4 months to show improvement. Most of my teeth were missing when I was rescued and the rest were removed when I was neutered, so I have lost a lot of the bone in my lower jaw which allows my little tongue to hang out. I also have a crooked front leg from probably a broken bone that was never set or maybe just a deformity. But please don't feel sorry for me! I am a feisty pup and try to dominate the 27 pound and 50 pound dogs that I live with even without teeth! Of course, I love attention and love to cuddle with you, too. I am neutered, current on shots and micro chipped. I am definitely a senior, but there is still a lot of pep in my step and life that I'd like to share with you!
