About Winkin

Winkin' is very possibly a Great Dane mix. In foster in Olympia, WA She may even have some Pointer in her? Her birthday is 7/7/2017...so she is not quite 2 yrs old. She is tallish and weighs about 65#s... but obviously not all dane as that is her adult weight! She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations to include Bordetella & Rabies, and tested Heart Worm negative. Six months of Heart Worm prevention will come with the adoption. She is house broken and crate trained. She does great in her foster home with a large (over 100 pound) male dogs, three children ages 9 and up and appears to be scared of their cat (lol). Winkin' has not had a lot of training but she knows sit, she is such a sweetheart and loves everyone and everything. She is very happy and friendly and sweet and has like every dog and puppy she has met! She has not experienced a lot of the things most dogs experience by this age. She needs a mentor...a leader...a teacher...and someone to love her. She is smart and learns quickly and loves to play with toys...any toys. She needs someone that will give her lots of exercise. She will be good for the person that likes to run or ride bikes. This is NOT a dog for an apartment. She is fine with children...or should I say youths. I would not put anyone under the age of 10 with her just because of her size and her rambunctious behavior. She still is cautious of strangers and introductions need to be made with new people...it only take a few minutes.
