About Shay

Hello! I am Shay, a 6 year old, neutered Akita and I am a big, mellow guy (@115 lbs) who likes to snuggle and eat treats. I am totally housebroken and microchipped. I love being a house dog and want to sleep on the floor next to you. I would do ok in a small house with regular walks. The family I am living with has three of us and there are too many dogs for the house. My family is trying to find a wonderful forever home where I am the center of attention! I like to walk and explore but I can't go as far as I used to because I am slowing down a bit. People who meet me say that I am really smart and have a bit of a king complex. When it's feeding time, I eat first and everyone else waits. I can't go to a home with cats or small dogs. I am a big kind guy who is totally loyal and just my presence alone will deter people. I hardly ever bark so when I do, you know something is up.
