Ron is available via Pause for Dogs Rescue. Ron is about 3 years old, about 30kg, vaccinated and neutered. He's social, not timid, affectionate with people he knows. With strangers he may bark at first barks a minute later becomes friends. He's dominant by nature but gets along well with other dogs, even with males he does not pick fights, gentle with puppies. Housebroken, walks on leash, listens well. No health issues. He is very active and smart. His intelligence kept him alive on the street. Wants to be around people and please them. Ron has a close dog friend named Bubba (or Booba), who is also available for adoption. It would be great for them to be adopted together or even to people that are friends so the dogs could still see each other. Although that would be nice, it's not necessary. Both dogs will be very happy as long as they have a loving human. Ron and Booba were found in the winter during the coldest days, on the streets of Moscow region. They was seen many times by a volunteer with homeless people that were begging for money on the street. They were not alone as they had each other. Every day they were out on the street helping their homeless 'owner' to beg for money, which doubly was spent on them, because they were very thin and hungry. All attempts to buy them out from homeless beggars were futile. They needed dogs to collect money. Every day with pain in the heart this volunteer watched them sit on the cold ground in minus 20-30. They were sitting there not trying to escape just watching with sad and hungry eyes the endless stream of people passing by.. they did not know any better, it was their life with their 'owner'. One day this volunteer got lucky, she saw dogs alone, the homeless guy was some ways away already very drunk, swaying from side to side. The volunteer was able to lure Ron into the car at that time came Booba to his rescue pulling on his leash trying to pull him out. After considerable efforts, baby talk and treats, she managed to get them both in the car. After that they started new life, undoubtedly safe and with plenty of food but not a very happy one. Booba and Ron live in a foster family in an open air kennel but they long for a human companion. They must be next to people. Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twqGCTNuml0
