About Dash

This unique looking puppy is 'Dash'. He is unique because he has the bluest eyes! The shelter he came from listed him as a Shepherd mix. He could be. Only certain breeds carry the blue-eye gene trait. Aussie Shepherd is one, so he could be mixed with that. Or maybe an Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) - they too can have blue eyes. Whatever his mix, he is beautiful indeed. His short little life has had lots of twists so far. He found himself in a kill shelter in San Antonio, TX at just two weeks of age. The litter of puppies was dumped there :( Two did not survive. Luckily Dash (and brother Dodger) had a foster home offer and they went there and found their way to our rescue :) Due to all the change in their lives, both puppies are under socialized and very shy around new people, dogs and new situations. Can you blame them? Luckily they are at such a young age that with continued love, nurturing and socialization, they will likely grow into fine canine companions :) Dash (and brother Dodger) are approximately 12 weeks old and 15 lbs.
