About Bailey

Meet bodacious Bailey! This 2 year old cattle dog came into rescue after being picked up as a stray. He had traveled to many places and was very fast and agile, so it took some time for the humans to catch him. Now that he has settled into his foster home, Bailey has discovered that humans are pretty awesome and he likes to stick close to them. He hopes to have a forever family of his own soon! Bailey is an active boy and very smart. He loves to play with other dogs and thinks people are pretty cool but would rather not live with cats. He is a good medium sized dog at 35 pounds and would make an excellent companion for an active, adventurous family. Bailey is a fast learner and would love a family that will train with him and introduce him to some dog sports, like frisbee and flyball. He is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to go out. He also does well in his kennel at night and when his foster mom is at work. Bailey has been left out of the kennel a few times when home alone and has done well too. He knows his basic commands and listens well. He responds well to signals from other dogs and shares toys well too. Bailey is a great young dog and would love a family that can keep up with him and continue to help him learn! Bailey needs an adopter that will commit to plenty of exercise and training as he exhibits classic cattle dog herding behavior with nipping and jumping. He'd probably do best in a home with older children or adults only.
