About Beemer and Patches

Lab / Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Beemer and his brother Patches came to live with us about 3 years ago, riding up the 'underground doggie railroad' from Arkansas. They were born mid-December of 2015. They love wrestling together, and playing fetch - especially Patches (the one with the brown around his face). Patches also LOVES to bark at animals that he sees on TV. Unfortunately, since adopting them, my wife passed away, and I don't feel able to give these boys the attention they deserve. Beemer in particular needs special handing. He gets frightened by strangers coming into the house for the first time, and that manifests itself as aggression. He has the same reaction toward children. They both get along well with other dogs, though they SOUND aggressive if there is something (fence/leash) separating them from the other animal. Once they are allowed to interact, they are fine.
