About Gravy

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Kitten
Sex: Male

Gravy (DOB 4/1/19) is a male brown tabby and white shorthaired kitten. Gravy was born in foster care as part of an April Fool's joke from his feral mom that had just been caught near the Waukegan Popeye's. Gravy's shocked and wide-eyed expressions show his previously shy nature. Gravy has become a confident big boy as he has grown and become quite talkative. He likes people and being petted, he'll even meow for your attention if he needs something or even when he doesn't need something. He is a rambunctious boy that likes to run, climb, jump, zoom through his crinkly tunnel, and wrestle his kitten friends. If you scoop him up under his arms he sometimes tolerates being held for a little while but he's usually not the sort of cat that wants to be carried around everywhere. He does come up and lay next to you for snuggles occasionally. He gets along with other cats but especially needs a young kitty to wrestle and chase, he's okay with older kids that can be understanding about his newfound confidence, and we think he could adapt to a really nice dog but we'd want to be extra cautious and slow with a dog introduction as a larger dog may bring out more of his signature wide-eyed nerves. ***Foster mom note: Gravy may be one to suffer separation anxiety without another cat around to keep him company and occupied, especially if his furever home has people gone a good chunk of the day (school, work, etc).***
