About Penny

Penny is 3 year old Lab mix who is in need of a home with active parents who are able to give her a lot of their love and attention. She is fully grown at approximately 50 pounds and is a solid, happy girl. While Penny is active and loves to be outside to stimulate her mind and body, she loves to snuggle up on the couch at the end of the day. She's super sweet and has been incredibly and fiercely loyal to her owners for three years. Penny is very good at keeping your home and yard free of unwanted pests. Her strong prey drive prevents her from living in a home with cats or small pets. She finds it hard to resist chasing them. Penny is smart & has a very strong sense of focus. When she gets her mind set on something she is determined to figure it out. This is a strength and also can be an area that Penny could use some training and support around. She is good with most other dogs and went to doggie daycare for the first two years of her life. She has lived with another dog for the last three years and they've gotten along 98% of the time. We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. Our best guess is that she is a Lab mixed with Rhodesian Ridgeback.
