About Ginny

Ginny is a 21 month old, 70 pound Black Lab Mix. She came to us from an overcrowded Missouri shelter. Ginny does well with other dogs but is more about getting the attention from her humans so she would also do well as an only dog. She likes children but is large and playful so a home with kids over 10 would be better. Ginny is a typical lab and food motivated. If you leave a pizza on the counter and leave the room she is going to be swallowing the last slice when you come back in two minutes. She is still very much a puppy. She wants to do the right thing but doesn't have a lot of impulse control yet. Her big brown eyes are really good at begging for attention. She will do almost anything to get you to pet her or rub her belly. Ginny would like a fenced yard so she can run and play safely. Typical of a lab her favorite toys are balls. She loves to chase them. Ginny is working on her basic commands and would love to have a family that would take her through a basic obedience class. She is eager to please and a quick learner. Being a lab she is food motivated and will be happy to learn commands for treats. Ginny is housetrained, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested.
