About Big Blue

Big Blue is a 5 year old male that came to us in the summer of 2018. He was in bad condition and it has taken us this long to get him in shape for surgery. Blue had multiple issues - a case of mange, signs of Rocky Mountain Spotted fever, and he was heart worm positive. What we thought was arthritis turned out to be a gunshot wound that had been left untreated. This trauma broke bones and since no one took care of the injury, he favors one back leg. Big Blue was so very torn down but, each problem has been dealt with and soon, the final hurtle of his leg, will be addressed with surgery and Blue will be available for adoption. Big Blue gets along with humans and has never met a dog he didn't like. And, in Trish's 'Home for Olde Dobermans', he has met a lot of dogs! He is good with both male and female dogs. He is playful, loving and so very sweet. Blue is crate and house trained and uses a doggie door. He is a counter surfer...well...nobody is perfect ;-)
