About Maxx

This handsome, young guy is looking for his forever person. Maxx was taken from a less than ideal situation where he just wasn't being loved as a member of the family like every dog ought to be. Maxx had some weight to gain and some vetting to complete and now he is ready for his forever home. Maxx is friendly with people, but he is not a velcro dog. He enjoys his space just as much as the next guy. We believe this could change as he bonds to a person or family, but he could be the independent dog that is ok not being a lap dog in a 45 pound body. Maxx is likely about 1-2 years old. He gets along with other dogs but is very much a co-exist type of dog with others. He is not interested in playing or chase. Maxx seems to be house trained and walks well on leash. He is getting used to being in a crate, but does bark for a bit when alone. This means he is not suited for the apartment lifestyle. Maxx would do fine with children who know how to be gentle and appropriate. We are unsure how Maxx would do with cats. Maxx is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
