Lisa was saved minutes from death at a high kill shelter in Texas. She's a beautiful lab mix, she's about 3 years old and 45 lbs. Lisa unfortunately had a very severe leg injury at the shelter, which needed to be treated immediately. After consulting with several different vets, everyone decided that the best decision would be to amputate the leg. But that hasn't changed one thing! Lisa is still a spunky little girl who loves life. She is the ideal dog. She is extremely sweet and takes treats gently. She is crate trained and house trained. She's good on a leash, good with other dogs & good with kids. She is not super active. She also rides well in her car. Lisa is currently in Texas, but transport can be arranged to an approved adopter! If you have any questions on Lisa, please feel free to message us via our rescue's Facebook page! If you're interested in adopting Lisa, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.safetails.org.
