About Ivy

Ivy was rescued in September 2018 from a shelter so her history up to that point is unknown. She has had at least one litter of pups, although she is now spayed. Since adoption, Ivy has lived with a single female owner in an apartment and has been great. She has visited often with family for long visits and loves her cousin boxers. She also recently got a new human and labradoodle puppy roommates who she is great with. She gets along great with like size familiar dogs, but has shown extreme aggression to small dogs, and hasn't really had any encounters with cats since her adoption. Ivy is a very loving dog with just the right mix of spunk and chill. She is great when left to hang out in her apartment while mom is working, even long shifts. She has a new bad habit of accidents in the apartment, with no rhyme or reason, but some pretty good guilt. She has had unprovoked aggression towards 2 small dogs with excessive determination forcing her handlers to loose control, causing bruising but minor injury to the little dogs, and no puncture wounds. During both acts of aggression, she seemed confused why her humans were sad and distressed with her behavior. Ivy does have some anxiety with quick moves from new human friends, and may growl fearfully until she gets to know you. She is up to date on all her vet visits, shots. And she is great in the car and LOVES to go bye bye! Her human mom is now really concerned that she won't be able to emotionally or physically handle another one of Ivy's impulsive attacks, and feels that if she could find a new home for Ivy where she can meet new a human family that can handle her and Love her as much as her current mommy and family.
