About Bon Bon

Looking for a photogenic, vivacious girl for your next instagram adventure? You'll have to get in line for Mademoiselle Bon Bon! This little yet mighty lady is an athletic, goofy girl who loves going on long walks and meeting new people. Don't let her puppy exuberance fool you! She rarely barks, is incredibly gentle when accepting treats and is an absolute couch potato indoors. In fact, she's still figuring out how to lay on the couch without falling off. There's nothing she loves more than snuggling up with her person (ahem, ANY person) and sneaking onto their lap. If you insist on some personal space, she is perfectly content to chew on a toy while you get some work done. Bon Bon is only a year old, is potty-trained and working on basic commands. We are even learning new ones like 'shake' and 'wave'! Bon Bon adores any person she meets, especially children who love to play. We think she would make a wonderful, loyal family companion. She is a long-term resident of DACC (Detroit Animal Care and Control) and is currently in short-term foster. Because of all the stress she has endured in her young life, she does suffer from separation anxiety. We are actively working with Jane Wolff (of Good Wolff) who specializes in treating separation anxiety in dogs. She believes dogs can fully recover from this issue, and her own two dogs are a testament to that fact. She is generously offering to continue working with Bon Bon at no cost to her future foster/adopter.
