Tucker arrived at our shelter very confused and absolutely terrified. His owner's living situation had changed, so he was surrendered to us on 5/19/19. He has a big bark, which can deter some from interacting with him. However, all he wants is to not be in a kennel and to go for a walk! He loves seeing the yellow leash we use to walk with him, and although his breed mix makes him massively strong and powerful, he is learning leash manners very quickly. His former owner reports that he was abused as a puppy, so he is a bit uneasy when first meeting new people, but is very food motivated and gains trust with treats. :) He is crate and house trained. Tucker is almost three years old, is neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations, on flea and tick prevention, and has been dewormed. His breed is a Great Pyrenees/terrier mix. He ignores other dogs who behave aggressively toward him, and plays well with friendly dogs. He has been around cats and chickens with no problems. This boy desperately needs someone to give him a chance. The shelter setting is not conducive to his behavioral improvement , so if you are interested in fostering or adopting, please call 304 478 6232 or email [email protected].
