About Bubba *PENDING*

** ADOPTION PENDING ** Meet Bubba! Bubba may look familiar if you have been following us from the beginning. We got Bubba in 2013 and he was adopted out in 2014. Sadly, his family had a change in circumstances and could no longer care for him. So we welcomed him back into the program in April of 2019. He is now around 12-13 years old and weighs about 11 lbs and is a retired truck driver (would accompany his dad in his semi on jobs). He takes a little time to build up trust and can be stubborn, but he is a good little companion who likes to curl up in a nice dog bed or burrow under a blanket. He loves exploring the back yard and has been doing well with his potty habits when taken outside on a regular basis. He will go to the door to let you know he needs to potty, but he doesn't make any noise so you have to pay attention. Bubba initially appears to be against making new doggie friends, but he just needs a little time to adjust. He can be a chow hound and a little protective over his food, so we recommend separating him from other pets to feed. He needs to be maintained on a special strict low fat diet due to severe pancreatitis and IBS. He isn't an excessive barker, but when he does bark he wants to be heard. He likes to be pet, but isn't needy or clingy. He just likes to hang out. Who can be this boy's hero and let him live out his golden years by your side? Bubba's adoption donation of $150 helps to cover the cost of his medical care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required.
