About Jackson

Hello, I'm looking to see if you or your facility may be able to help my situation. I am the owner of a 3 year old PitMix named Jackson. He has been a big part of my life since December of 2016 and we have had quite the journey together. Jackson is very sweet, loving, and kind at heart. He came to me with a lot of fears and has opened up and become such a wonderful dog, however, recently he has had aggressive episodes and I am truly at a loss as to what to do with him. He has attacked three people where he charged and bit them, and in two of these instances he has broken skin. I began trying to do some aggression training on my own, reaches out to trainers, and gotten him a muzzle, but I have had to stop taking him out on walks and adventures almost entirely. I have looked into several other training options, but I am not in a place now where I can afford these trainers and I fear he can not live his best life in my care. I work most of the week and can not be home with him, and I do not have a yard where he can spend time. It breaks my heart to consider finding him a new forever home, but he deserves to live a happier life. If your organization would be open to potentially taking a dog like Jackson, or if you have any other information for training options I would love to speak with you more.
