About Bonfire

Bonfire is one of the kindest souls you will meet. He is a people loving easy going Applaoosa gelding standing a stout 15.3 hh and is 12 years old. This handsome boy is easy to manage, has EXCELLENT manners and no vices. He gets along with everyone and has been pastured with minis to drafts. Bonfire does have ERU in one eye (requires occasional eye drops during a flare up and to wear a fly mask for sun protection). He also has CSNB due to his birth coat pattern and thus cannot see at night or around dusk/dawn so requires safe fencing in a pasture/paddock he is very comfortable with and/or be stalled at night. Bonfire will remain a member of our rescue for life so that we can ensure his care... however, we would LOVE to find him a Long-Term Foster Home for him where he can cherish the love a person on a daily basis (we are just slammed busy here on the rescue farm) and he craves human affection and one-on-one love! Fostering as a Companion: He is a great companion and easy easy to get along with. Learns routine quickly and is an easy keeper. Fostering as a Riding Horse: He would require regular chiropractic care and possibly acupuncture as well as 4 shoes on a regular basis. With that maintenance he can easily be a trail horse or pleasure horse. Bonfire has no vices and is well trained, nice head set, responsive to ques and therefore would only be suitable for a confident seasoned rider who is looking for a no-fuss no-muss partner for pleasure Bonfire must remain within approx 300 miles of our location.
