About Surry

Meet Surry! Approx. 9 years old - Female Hi, my name is Surry! I'm about 9 years young but I really celebrate when I get a chew or a treat. It makes me so happy! You see, I came to the shelter emaciated and hungry and had some scars but the nice shelter staff called me their favorite and took really good care of me and now....my doctor says I'm a bit chubby and need to walk more! My foster mommy says I'm the best girl ever, I sit nicely and take treats so gently, and I know stay and down...she likes to walk me because I'm so good on a leash and I ignore the other dogs out there! I go right in to my crate with no objections and I'm faster when mealtime is in order...I am house trained too and I don't get in to anything. My foster mommy wants to say something: Surry is one of my FAVORITE fosters ever. I don't know what happened to her prior to coming to the shelter, but this dog was loved sometime in her life, as she is trained and very gentle and loving. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she is so grateful for love and food.....she would do best in a home with a male dog but no females. She is amazing and gentle with children and loves people. I really struggled with wanting to adopt her....I really love this girl so much, she deserves a home that will love her forever and see the beauty of her soul.
