About Leo

LEO IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND AREA. PLEASE VISIT MOMSVA.ORG TO COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. Woof! Woof! Meet Leo. Leo is a 3 year old beagle who weighs about 35 lbs. He is the cutest beagle you will ever meet. He loves to run really fast in the yard and play with other dogs. He loves floating in the pool with his foster mom. Leo loves all kinds of treats, carrots, and bones. He is crate trained and house trained. He loves to fetch the ball and bring it back to you. Leo suffers from resource guarding. Resource guarding is when a dog takes an item (ex: wrapper, toy, bag, etc..) that he considers high value and will guard it completely. In January, Leo went to 'boot camp' to learn how to control his resource guarding and learn new commands. The trainers used an e - collar to help him learn his new commands. Leo is able to sit, down, come, focus, and fetch. He has to wear his e-collar every day when he is not in his crate. When his e-collar is on, he is 'working' and knows what he needs to do. Leo will best be suited in a home where there are no children so he does not be tempted to resource guarding. He loves car rides and going on adventures. He is really a great dog (99% of the time) as long as his resource guarding (1% some times) is prevented. Once you meet him, you will not regret it. He will give you kisses and lots of loving.
