About Max

3 yr old male rat terrier mix. He is friendly and lovable and does very well with bigger kids (does great with my 8yr old) but probably too energetic for a home with very young kids. He is being rehomed only because my adult daughter needs to move back home for an extended time and my dogs do not get along with him. My dogs are both rescues with their own issues, so I don't know that he would not get along with other dogs, but I would not recommend this in the absence of extensive experience with the breed. I don't know if he would get along with cats. He is up to date on everything and he is a very sweet dog, but in order to keep him safe from my dogs, he is confined to a small bedroom almost all of the time. He is not endanger of being sent to a shelter, any danger he is in would be directly related to my son forgetting to close a door or gate.
