About NEWTON

NEWTON is an affectionate, tall, very fit dog who bonds strongly to his human family. He grew up with a cat so he's great with cats. He also likes dogs and has a male medium sized easy-going dog as his friend at his foster family's house. He completed the Novice training at Acoma. . His recent DNA testing shows he's AmStaff, StaffBullTerr, and Bloodhound. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained. Newton LOVES to have his back scratched, especially by the base of his tail. He loves this! If you're sitting in a chair and you scratch his back this way, it begins a strong bond with him. He has beautiful eyes and he is very affectionate. In his younger days (he's 3-4 now), he wagged his tail so much he actually broke it and the vet removed it. So now he has a nub (like a boxer) and it looks cute on him ;-) . Our process is to contact us via email [email protected] (please do not call). We have an online application, we have a meeting at your home with your family members including current pets. (Yes we bring the pet to you!) a trial adoption and stay in touch - we love updates! . . We adopt locally to the Santa Fe, central ABQ, Rio Rancho and Los Alamos areas of New Mexico.
