About Bandit

Bandit needs a home that already has a playful canine and a fenced yard with at least a 6 foot fence. He has never tried to escape. The height of the fence is preventative measures. Bandit 10 year old Dalmatian mix The first thing you notice about Bandit when you meet him is of course he spots, but next you quickly see how affectionate, happy and outgoing he is. He adores kids, adults and dogs. Bandit is not a fan of the felines however. He is very smart easy going gentle guy that does not act his age at all. He is almost always the first to ask the nearest person or canine to play. He is passionate about playing tug -of-war, chase and wrestling. He won't turn down a nap for a chance to snuggle with his people. He bonds very quickly to people and can be found where ever his foster mom is. Bandit's life has done a 360 since we got him at the end of May 2019. He went from living in a backyard alone for 7 years, to living indoors as a family member. He loves living indoors and being part of a family and you can see it in his body language. He has been a perfect gentleman in his foster home. He is not destructive in any way. Bandit is house & crate trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. If that doesn't work, he will scratch gentle scratch on the backdoor. Big bonus, he does not hike his leg to pee. He is perfect co-pilot in the car and a great sport getting a bath to reveal gleaming white fur. He is so easy to walk and knows several commands such as sit, high five, & shake. Despite banishing Bandit to the backyard, he has 14 pages of vet records that will come with Bandit when he is adopted showing he has had yearly routine vet care including regular dental & blood work. His teeth and his personality trick people into thinking he is around 2-3. This guy is ready to start his new life with one very lucky family. He also comes with a new normal blood panel. Rescue Story: He was adopted April of 2010 as a puppy. Soon after his family started having children. Bandit was banished to the backyard with their first child because if Bandit barked the baby woke up. So there he lived alone in the backyard for 7 years until we got him the 4th week of June. He was surrendered very thin with hip bones and every rib protruding. He has already started gaining weight.
