About Matilda/Tilly

Needing a new home for my Australian Shepherd/Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. She is a fantastic dog, but kills and eats chickens, which I cannot train out of her. She is extremely high energy and has a very high prey drive. She is hostile to all animals smaller than herself, but has never killed any cats to my knowledge. She is extremely intelligent, but this doesn't outweigh the prey drive. She has been raised on a farm with goats, chickens, and cows. She does well with both male and female Great Pyrenees already on our farm. I would prefer she goes to a family with a farm where she can work. She is not a good match for someone with an apartment or small yard. She would make a good jogging companion, however. She has accompanied me on several runs and has done surprisingly well with no leash training.
