About Free Spirit...

Mimi is a free spirit. She was a stray who ended up in the Miami shelter. She was super scared and skinny. She bonded with me right away and got to know my two rescue dogs and now they are great buddy's. Mimi needs a Mom and or Dad who understands she needs to build trust. Once she trusts, she's a love and is super loyal. I'm working with her and a trainer to teach her basic commands and to not be fearful as she will bark and lunge at some people until she gets to know you. She's fine in a crowd but she's fearful with people one in one. She is completely trainable and is making great progress. She is alert and loves to chase the Geico's. She looks like an Italian Greyhound/Whippet mix and is approximately 1 year old. She's house trained, doesn't chew anything and I don't put her in a crate. She will need someone who is willing to continue to work with her to build her trust and security. Mimi can be very chilled out yet I think she would do best in a home with a fenced, secure yard as she likes to try to escape and loves to run, she needs someone who is willing to walk her daily and continue her training and socialization skills, children over 12 who are willing to understand she needs to build trust could work, then they will be forever friends, a dog or two is fine as she's great with my dogs, but she does need time to get to know other dogs. I want to be transparent regarding Mimi as she is a really, really awesome dog who is extremely trainable and loyal.
