About Black

Adoption Fee: $300
German Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Hi, I'm Black! I was found as a puppy on the street along with my siblings. All but me and my brother Jack were adopted already. Somehow I'm still without a family, but I sure hope that my luck will change for the better soon. Currently, I live in a foster home, and my foster parents say that I'm a very good boy - I am friendly, curious, laid back, and smart! I love to play with my ball, and be active outside and play with other dogs, but at the same time chilling on a couch or my dog bed is also much appreciated! I can be a bit timid with new people, especially men, but once I get to know them, we are best friends! I learn very fast and I'm very human-oriented - pleasing you and playing with my human would be the best thing in the world! *** Black is a German Sheperd mix, approximately 2 years old. He weights 66ls, and his height is 22in at the top of his shoulders. Black has a very charming and calm demeanor; he is laid back, friendly and curious boy. We are hoping to find the best family for him: someone who can give him love and be patient throughout the first months as he needs some time to trust new people, especially males. Black is housetrained, and up to date with all shots, neutered. Does NOT have any separation anxiety issues and could be left alone for short periods (4-6 hrs). Black will need some time and positive reinforcement with leash training, as currently, he is afraid to be on a leash - he thinks he will be taken somewhere unknown, so once he is on a leash, he tends to pull back home. He is also afraid of car rides, for the same reason - that he might be abandoned again, but again, with time and positive training, we believe that could be solved. Being a German Sheperd mix, we would prefer to find a family who would be able to provide Black with at least 60 active walk/play minutes per day. Ideally, with a fenced in the backyard because he does love to run around on his territory. Black would do very well with other female dogs who are not aggressive. He does have a prey drive and will chase/bark at cats (mainly for fun, not to kill). Black is good with kids, friendly, but prefers to stay away if he can. If you already have fallen in love with Black's looks and sweet personality, please reach out to Furry Tales International for an adoption application! Black will
