About Elsie

Check out the GREAT ears on this sweet girl! Affectionately known as our Flying Nun dog, Elsie is a lovely, shy little sweetheart with an old soul, who just needs some time to adjust to her new life with you! This gentle girl was very timid when she arrived at her foster home, but her foster family has been working to build her confidence, and Elsie has come out of her shell quite a bit. Although she is still somewhat nervous about new things, her foster mom says that she is now 'cautiously curious' about them. She has warmed up to the family grandchildren and enjoys their attention. She also loves playing with the household dog and kitties. Elsie enjoys companionship and is more than happy to lay next to you on the couch for a snuggle. She is fully house and crate trained, and does well on car rides. Elsie is very smart and well behaved, and will take treats from you very gently. She does like to chew, so providing adequate chew toys and guidance on what she may chew is important. Elsie is a one year old, medium sized, 40lb, female Hound/Shepherd mix. She is up-to-date on her vaccines, flea/tick and monthly heart worm medications, and she will soon be spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225.
