About Nigel

Are you ready to meet the great Nigel? Well, here he is, ready to find his furever home with you! Nigel is a 2 year old English Mastiff boy, who was surrendered to SVASC because he wasn't fitting in with the children in his home. Lucky for you, that means that Nigel can be your new best bud! Nigel is big boy and is very true to his breed. He can be very protective of his people and wary of strangers, but once he trusts you, he's a giant baby. Nigel will need a family that has experience with Mastiffs or other large dogs; homes that do not have large breed experience will not be considered, as Nigel needs a knowledgeable and experienced owner. He is already house-trained and walk okay on leash. He does need a little work on walking nicely, but given his size, he's very polite. Nigel is good with dogs of all sizes according to his previous owner. They also state that he's good with cats. We always recommend slow introductions and meet and greets outside of the home to ensure that everything is a good fit. Nigel needs a home without any children. Children ages 16 and up may be okay, but due to his size, strength, and wariness of strangers, no one under 16 should be in the house. Nigel is a very sweet and loving boy.
