About Brownie

Dachshund mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Brownie Dachshund Mix 2 Years Old, 30 Pounds Brownie, or as his foster parents call him, Bernie, is the sweetest boy! For the first few days, it took him time to adjust to his foster home. He likes having a safe spot to stay, but once he adjusts to his new place and owners he starts to become more adventurous. Bernie is nervous around loud noises. He is slowly realizing that the world isn't that bad of a place. Bernie is very quiet and will only whine when he sees other dogs outside. Bernie has a foster sister, and they get along well. His foster family is still waiting for him to want to play with his foster sister. Bernie loves to cuddle and get his belly rubbed! He also enjoys going on walks and is getting used to walking on a leash. Bernie is house trained. He is still learning his basic commands. Though, his foster family thinks he will learn them quickly. Bernie is also crate trained, but since he is such a good boy, his foster family lets him sleep out of his crate at night. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
