Pit Bull

About Archie Not only is Archie a big HAM, he's a star! From a backyard in CT with an unknown fate, to MA with a small army of advocates, Archie has now successfully completed a board and train program with Four Leggers Doggie Daycare and Spa and is ready for his Forever! Archie will do whatever he can to please his humans and is always making his foster laugh (and us too!). He loves marrow bones, cream cheese, and baths in pink tubs. Archie is approx 2 years old and a Bully Mix with a moderate energy level. He enjoys leisurely walks at the end of the day and doesn't seem to be a morning dog. He often won't eat breakfast, and waits until dinner time to eat. He might be a good jogging buddy eventually, but probably won't run any marathons. He doesn't require slow introduction to other canine friends and can be placed solo or with another very social dog who has a similar bully play style. Archie regulates his play well, taking breaks now when he's about to become overstimulated. He's generally around more male dogs and they tend to play similarly. Archie is house broken and overall, has good house manners! He's motivated primarily by his relationships with people, not as much by toys. He'll occasionally play with a rope or kong but it's few and far between unless you get him to do zoomies around the yard. He has the basics of training mastered and he's now working on them in areas with distractions and he remains a favorite amongst the daycare employees. Archie will need someone with bully experience and consistency with his ongoing training as he works towards breed ambassador status %8F To FOSTER, please live within driving distance of Groveland or Newburyport MA. To ADOPT, anywhere in New England. Sweet Paws Rescue does not operate as a traditional animal shelter. There are three ways to adopt from us: Commit to a dog that has not yet transported to Massachusetts-in other words, adopting a dog before meeting [him/her] in person. Because we have a unique Foster2Adopt program for all of our adoptions, there is a two-week trial period to ensure you've made a love connection with your new pup. Meet one of our dogs being fostered in Massachusetts-and take them from foster to forever! Attend one of our meet & greet events held throughout the year at various locations on the north shore of Massachusetts. Pre-approved adopters that find your match can take your new pup home from the event! Regardless of what approach is best for you, the process always starts with submitting an application. More details on our adoption process are available on our website. Not quite ready to commit? Please consider opening your home to fostering one of our pups! If you live within driving distance to Newburyport or Groveland Massachusetts, we would love to talk with you. Details on fostering are also detailed on our website. Too many dogs end up in shelters or back in rescue because their humans were not prepared for the commitment and responsibility of a dog. Before filling out an application, please evaluate your ability to train, exercise, and care for, financially and otherwise, for the span of your dog's lifetime. Their life depends on it!
