Meet Willow Look at this gorgeous dog! Her name is Willow and she's a gem. Willow was found by a good Samaritan who tried finding her owner. When that proved fruitless, Willow's hero tried keeping her, but realized that Willow deserved more time and attention than could be offered. Luckily, Willow's hero turned to us. We were happy to take Willow in and help her find her forever family. Willow arrived on June 14, 2019. Willow is absolutely adorable with her floppy ears, earnest green eyes, and her beautiful snow white coat. Unfortunately, Willow has been through a lot in her young life that somehow resulted in her being homeless and wandering. As a result, she is very shy and retreats to the back of her kennel so as not to be noticed. She radiates a certain sadness that is just heartbreaking. Where she should be full of puppy bravado, life on the run has taken some of her joy and confidence away. Hopefully, with the love and support of her forever family, Willow will be able to let go of her past and blossom into a joyful dog. She is about 10 months old and thought to be a Boxer/Lab/American Staffordshire mix. She weighs about 40 pounds. Willow is good with other dogs, having lived temporarily with two doggie companions. She also lived with two children at her temporary foster home and is good with them. Willow travels well in a car and she walks well on a leash. We think Willow may be deaf and we'll have that checked by our vet to be certain. Being deaf doesn't hinder Willow from a terrific future, but it is good to be aware for her training and making sure she stays safe. We think it could contribute to her timidity. Can you imagine being alone in the woods and not be able to hear what's coming up on you? For such a young, inexperienced dog with no one to turn to, that must be absolutely terrifying. Despite her formidable beginnings, Willow is an absolute precious young pup with so much love to give. Come meet her! You'll be glad you did. Willow will be available for adoption on June 24, 2019.
