Bear is about 1.5 years of age and came to us from Valencia County, a timid, shy boy that, more than likely, had never been out of his backyard. In just a few weeks time this boy has blossomed. Bear was an outside only dog with little to no socialization. He was terrified of all people and did not understand human contact. Within a couple days in his foster home, he allowed his foster parents to pet him and then, actually began seeking them out. There is another Doberman and several Doxies in his foster home and has learned to come out of his shell by following their lead. He is nearly potty trained and is very intelligent. Bear now excitedly greets his foster family in the morning and any time they return to the house. He has begun to play with toys and act more like a one year old rather than a scared shut down dog. He is still shy with new people but warms up when he is given time and patience. He's just the sweetest kindest boy and is loving having this new life.
