I am Phoenix. I was out walking down the street on my own, alone, which was scary enough but then I got brought here and that scared me, too! I didn't know what in the world was going to happen next so I just tried to keep quiet and keep a low profile. But then I figured out that the wardens and volunteers are here to help us and care for us. They also know that what each of us want is a forever home and family and they do their best to make that happen so I just need to try to be patient and wait for my 'BIG DAY' to come! Available for adoption at: Muskingum County Dog Warden & Adoption Center 1500 Newark Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701 740-453-0273 Please call ahead if you plan to visit. Open M-F 11-5 and Saturday 11-1. Adoption fee is $105 which includes spay/neuter, combo and rabies shots, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test and dog tags. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.
