About DUSTY

A5184345 Dusty is a comical 1-year-old black-and-white neutered male Pit Bull and Boxer mix puppy who was adopted from the Baldwin Animal Care Center in August of 2018 and returned on April 6th, because he and the resident dog weren't getting along. Weighing 51 lbs, Dusty won over the hearts of our volunteers with his goofy, silly personality. He loves to dole out kisses, be cuddled, roll on his back, and, most of all, get belly rubs. Dusty is sporty, fun and for sure would like to join you on regular walks or hikes. He has puppy energy and really likes to play. He also settles down well and will gladly curl up at your feet in the evening. Dusty would benefit from some basic obedience training, but he does show signs of being housebroken and understands how to walk on a leash. He is attentive and treat-motivated which can help make learning a breeze. In fact, our volunteer was able to teach the 'sit' command in about five minutes! With his adorable superhero mask and lean Boxer legs, Dusty is also one handsome fellow. In the shelter's playgroups, he especially enjoys the company of female dogs and gets a little pushy with male dogs, he might do best paired with a female or as a solo dog. Dustin passed his shelter-administered temperament test with flying colors. He will be an awesome best friend and activity partner to the lucky person or family who makes him a part of their home.
