About Halima (east)

Hi, my name is HALIMA - ID#A4264493 I am a spayed female, gray and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 10 years old. I have been at the shelter since May 28, 2019. Here are some notes from a volunteer who recently spent time with Halima: 'I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet lady while helping with in kennel enrichment. Oh my goodness, she is such a sweet frosty faced girl. She was happy to carry on a conversation with me while I visited her kennel. She only recently arrived at the shelter as a stray. At the age of 10 years young, her owners never came to take her home. Today, this wonderful lady finds herself in a shelter that doesn't afford her the luxury of potential adopters seeing her big brown eyes and beautiful frosty face. She especially needs our help finding her true loves because Halima has a mass of sorts on her underside so she will benefit from a visit to a full-service vet to understand the best course of treatment to help make her comfortable. She is searching for a family who will be patient and understanding as she decompresses and adjusts to her new home and routine. She is neutral with her fur friends and may not interact with them much. She will need a slow, proper introduction with any potential fur family members.'
