About Cleo

Adoption Fee: $350
Border Collie / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Well hello gorgeous... Everyone meet our beauty pageant contestant Ms. #Cleo. She is a 7 month old #BorderCollie/#Lab mix, who is all puppy energy. She walks wonderfully on leash, is an expert toy destroyer, wicked smart, knows lots of commands and would excel in further training. She needs a home that can give her structure, and the mental and physical stimulation she needs. She's great with other dogs that enjoy her high energy play and loves people! Small dogs and animals wouldn't be a good fit since she tends to track/herd them. Cleo's perfect home would have knowledge of, and experience with, working breed dogs. She will find an unwanted way to occupy her time if her needs aren't met! She needs an active family that enjoys the outdoors in all types of weather, and she would thrive with a doggy companion. Unfortunately Cleo has been diagnosed with 2 Luxating patella's. Since she's been with the PRO-PET-OTIC Foundation over the past few months, she has been on holistic medications to strengthen them and has been going to Woodhaven Animal Hospital to receive Manipulation Chiropractic. After watching her over the past 2 months our rescue family has decided that surgery is going to be her best option, but that cannot happen until she is over a year old and has fully physically developed. Surgery can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 per affected Knee. Please do your research on the surgery & recovery time. %90%BE Fenced in Yard is REQUIRED We'd like to see Cleo go to a home with another dog. Cleo is currently up for adoption through the PRO-PET-OTIC Foundation. Our adoption fee will include her distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, and lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; & being fixed. Cleo is heartworm negative & is currently on heartworm prevention, as well as flea & tick preventative. If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs, please email [email protected] with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to [email protected]. The PRO-PET-OTIC Foundation is a 100% Foster-Based Rescue that is ran by all Volunteers. Which means that we are not a shelter & each animal is in an actual home with a foster family. We kindly ask that you put any questions within the email & our team of Volunteers will get back to you within 5-7 days. The application MUST BE filled out, a Vet Check MUST BE completed by our team, as well as a phone interview before we do a 'Meet N Greet.' Please no phone calls, no pm's, & no multiple emails- We promise to get back to you within a timely fashion! When adopting through our rescue, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on all of their vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies), an UTD Heartworm Test, & currently on both Flea & Tick & Heartworm Prevention. We do call your vet to do a vet check on your animals. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet listed. Adoption Events 1st Sunday's- Premier Pet Supply WB: 6399 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322 2nd Sunday's- Pet Wants Birmingham: 33772 Woodward Ave, Birmingham, MI 48009 3rd Saturday's- Purely Pets: 13723 23 Mile Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315 4th Saturday's- IncrediPets Market: 7150 Cooley Lake Rd, Waterford, MI 48327
