About Blitz

Rottweiler
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

We are moving and cannot take our beloved Blitz...she's nearing the end of her life and really needs more personal attention and veterinary care than I can afford to give her. She is very well behaved, almost 11, had a torn ACL when she was young so has some trouble moving now, especially after laying down for a while, but she can still move quick when she wants something. And that little stub of a tail just gets going wild when she's happy or excited. She's extremely lovable and well-behaved, albeit a bit mouthy when she wants something she'll let you know. Never saw an aggressive bone in her even as the young pups run all over her. She used to hate cats, like chase them down like a maniac. We've recently had a cat in the house and now she just wants to stand there and stare at it...so she's not aggressive to them but she's probably better off without them around. She had a litter of puppies 4 years ago, has never been fixed but hasn't had a menstrual cycle in over a year. She loves to be around people and get attention. In the summer she breaks out in hot spots and she gets some green goopy eyes the vet said cause her eyelids do not close properly, should have been cut years ago but now they've scratched her eyes allowing bacteria so causes the goop. I still think it may be allergy related cause it seems to flare up certain times and Benedryl seems to help. I am hoping she can be taken in by a living family who will provide her the attention she deserves as she fades out of this life and into the next.
