AFTER SEVEN YEARS, RESCUED FROM AT A KILL SHELTER, MISTY IN KINGS MOUNTAIN NC IS READY TO START HER NEW LIFE-TRANSPORT IS AVAILABLE FOR A GOOD HOME Hey, It's me Misty! If you happened to drive by my old house, you may have seen me chained up in the yard. That's where I spent most of my time until my family decided they couldn't take care of me anymore. Seven years I spent out there taking good care of that yard for them. Now I'm older and maybe they thought I couldn't do my job anymore. Maybe that's why everyone else is passing me by too... Misty is a 7 year old Boxer mix, who is a sweet, happy girl. When people get near she wags her little nub like crazy and when she can get close enough will be sure to get a few licks in whether it's your hand or her favorite, face kisses. She greets other dogs with the same affection. When she met the greeter dog at the shelter, again her little nub went crazy. During her cat evaluation, she sniffed them but was careful not to get too close when they turned around. It seems she knows what cats are and she wants to make sure she isn't the focus of their wrath. LOL. But it seems she would get along with a cat that was dog friendly. She walked well on a leash but when she wanted to go somewhere, she would pull. She is easy to get under control though. She has energy but it seems to come in bursts and then she calms down.
