About Bailey

Bailey is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Bailey is currently fostered in Lakeland, FL (Polk County). He's somewhere between 1-2 years old and about 55 lbs. Bailey is the sweetest soul. His foster adores him. There isn't a single person that has met him that did not fall in love with him. He has a very calm demeanor, and he really loves his person. He will sit quietly on the couch and just watch what is going on around him, for a large dog he is easy going in the house. He is athletic and absolutely beautiful. He loves to sit with you and cuddle and just be. If your looking for a companion to sit and watch movies with and cuddle at night he is your guy! He is shy but readily says hello to new people after a short time, he warms right up and loves the attention. He does startle and needs to learn that everything isn't so scary. He loves to run and play outside and it is one of his favorite things to do. He is excellent in the car, loves to go and rides every morning to school drop off. He gets along with everyone including cats and kids. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He plays tug with the other dogs in the house but mostly likes to just play with the others. Bailey needs a canine companion in the home to show him things aren't so scary. He also needs home with a secure fenced in yard where he can freely run and feel confident in his own space, he can also jump really well. He walks well on a leash but he does startle. He is crate trained and prefers to eat in the safety of his crate. We are a foster-based rescue organization with foster homes throughout the state of Florida. We predominantly save dogs from municipal shelters throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our rescue dogs live in foster homes - there is no central facility.
