TESSA Meet beautiful Tessa, a Labrador retriever mix born in 2018. She is a wonderfully sweet young girl that was dumped in the extreme heat on a very busy rural highway by her previous family. Sadly when you are no longer a cute little puppy, some families no longer want you. Thankfully a Good Samaritan saw her as she ran desperately down the highway after them until she was out of breath, exhausted, and seriously in need of water. Scared and frightened, Tessa ran and jumped in her rescuer's car so thankful for help. After some loving care and being totally vetted, she is ready for her 'forever' family. Tessa is beautiful with a soft shinny coat and so very smart. She desperately wants to please. She learns commands easily and will sit looking up at you lovingly with that adorable face as if to say 'what's next�'�|I'll do anything to make you happy'. For reasons unknown, statistic show black dogs are often overlooked by prospective adopters. This is something that's a mystery which the animal rescue community can't understand nor imagine someone not giving a black dog a chance. Please don't let Tessa become a statistic just because she's a black dog. She will make a WONDERFUL addition to some lucky family.
