Meet Mary Jane. MJ is a 2-3 year old tricolor blue pit mix that came to animal services as a stray. She was previously used as a breeding dog and then either dumped or lost and never reclaimed. When we adopted MJ it was clear that she had never sat on a couch, had a toy, or chewed a bone. We showered her with everything she had been missing. MJ loves to cuddle and nap with you, but she can also keep up just fine on a jog or a long walk. She is happy to do whatever you want to do. Over the first month and a half that we had her she became very comfortable, to the point that she started taking over our household. MJ has developed a sense of possession over us and no longer allows us to have a normal relationship with our dog Molly and our other animals. MJ has an extremely high prey drive for all small domestic animals, most seriously cats. All this means for us is that we owe it to MJ to find her a home where she is the star of the show and the only pet. MJ is great about not going in the house, but she does need to go out every 6 hours or so and has no problem holding it over night. MJ is crate trained. We can give you a crate, water and food bowl and stand, a harness, etc. we just want nothing more than MJ to be someone's best companion, she is best buddy material through and through. There is a rehoming fee, and we are willing to travel a fair distance. Meet and greet at your home is required.
