Hi, my name is VERONICA - ID#A4264531 I am a spayed female, white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old, and I have been at the shelter since May 28, 2019. This pretty girl is receiving medical care* What a BEAUTIFUL Senior! This lovely lady came in as a Stray out of a Phoenix industrial park & is listed by the Shelter as an 8 year old Pittie Mix, already spayed, but not microchipped or wearing a collar at Intake. She is about 50lbs & was SO happy to have some attention & a few yummy snacks! It was obvious her left ear was bothering her, but such a friendly girl for everything she is going thru! :) Her medical notes indicate she had a large, painful aural hematoma at her left ear on Intake so she was sedated so it could be lanced & cleaned. This will temporarily relieve some of the pressure making it more comfortable & easier to treat, but will not fix the issues & she may need further surgical correction (will have a better idea as infection is treated). In addition to her ear, all four of her canine teeth are fractured & she has multiple masses that will require follow up at a Full Service Vet upon Adoption/Rescue. Here are some notes from a volunteer who spent time with Veronica: 'I am not ashamed to admit these are not my best effort at photos but it is because she is so stinking happy and wiggly that she wouldn't stay still! I could only snap a quick one when she stopped for booty rubs or showed me how fast her tail could wag. She made my face light up every moment I spent with her. She has an ear hematoma and some definite skin issues going on. She has a few masses and some pressure sores on her booty plus a little thickening under her belly. Due to her medical a formal dog intro wasn't done but you could see how happy she was to be around the other dogs in the next yard. She is great on leash and 8 yrs young.'
