About Arlo

Arlo is just the sweetest puppy we have ever met! He is a six month old Pit bull/golden retriever mix (yes, we know this for sure) who is all love! He gets along great with other dogs and with kids of all ages. He loves to go for walks and even swims! Arlo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and crate trained. He is healthy aside from being deaf. We aren't sure why Arlo cannot hear, but we suspect he was born hearing impaired. Nevertheless, he has a true zest for life! Deaf dogs make wonderful pets but they do come with unique challenges, such as being a bit more complex to train (although Arlo is very smart and has already begun learning hand signals!) and they tend to be more vocal than other dogs. Arlo does have a bit of separation anxiety and will bark occasionally to get attention. We are working on this behavior and already noticing great improvements, but an adoptive family will have to continue with his training to help him be his best self!
